A grandmother shoved the father of her 13 year old grandchild.

  • PIPE: 24200 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. A pipe that appeared to be for marijuana was found in a child’s bed roll at a child care facility.
  • Jan. 29

  • TOUGH GRANNY: 23200 block of state Route 169. A grandmother shoved the father of her 13 year old grandchild, causing him to spill hot coffee on himself. She was arrested for fourth degree assault.
  • Jan. 28

  • ONE TWO PUNCH: 25400 block of Witte Road Southeast. After a driver was pulled over for speeding, the passenger admitted to being in possession of marijuana.
  • HEATING UP: 27100 block block of 212th Place Southeast. Someone stole a gas furnace from a vacant rental home. Estimated cost to replace the furnace is $3,500.

  • RESISTING ARREST: 21300 block of Southeast 271st Place. A man resisted arrest when contacted at home regarding a pair of misdemeanor warrants. He was booked into the Enumclaw Jail on a Maple Valley warrant in addition to obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.

  • THEFT: 22300 block of Southeast 255th Street. A contractor discovered his son stole a wedding ring while working in a home. The son returned it when he was confronted about the theft.
  • Jan. 25

  • CAR PROWL: 24700 block of Southeast 276th Place. A man reported that someone broke into his car, damaging it in the process, but nothing was taken. It appears the prowler broke into the rear hatch door window using a pry tool of some sort while the car was parked in the victim’s driveway.
  • VANDALISM: 23800 block of Southeast 253rd Place. A car reportedly drove off the street and onto the victim’s front yard “where it spun a brodie,” according to the police report, “then peeled out causing significant damage” to the victim’s lawn. This is the fourth such incident reported in a two week period in that neighborhood.

  • DRUNK WITH A GUN: 27400 block of 237th Avenue Southeast. While “extremely intoxicated,” according to a police report, a person discharges a weapon through the floor inside their home.
  • Jan. 21

  • THEFT: 27400 block of Maple Valley Highway. While spray painting trash cans, someone stole the victim’s hand truck, which was left two buildings north of where he was working on the trash cans.
  • COVINGTON

      Jan. 28

    • CAR IMPOUNDED: 16000 block of Southeast 260th Street. An Acura was impounded after the driver lost control, went off road and hit a concrete power pole. Police were unable to confirm who the driver of the vehicle was at the scene.
    • Jan. 27

    • SHOPLIFTER: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man drank wine out of a coffee cup while he pretended to shop. He then concealed the open bottle that he was drinking from but had not paid for when he was confronted by a store employee.
    • STOLEN CAR: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone stole a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder from the Fred Meyer parking lot. There was no suspect information.
