Stefano Langone thrilled the crowd, the cheerleaders and Kentwood High’s Dazzlers dance team before and during the Kentwood football game Sept. 21 against Kent-Meridian at French Field.

Langone, a Kentwood High graduate and former American Idol contestant, sang the Star Spangled Banner before the game to an approving audience.

Before the 23-year-old sang, he did a quick microphone check converting the famous New Orleans Saints ‘Who Dat?’ chant to one for the home team, ‘Who dat say dey gonna beat Kentwood? Who dat? Who dat?’

Langone took photos with the cheer squad, hugged any girl on the team who wanted one, and seemed to make it a great night for the fans.
