Firefighters rescue family’s dog from home fire | Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety

Maple Valley firefighter along with Mountain View Fire and Rescue and Kent Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a home fire at about 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters found flames and smoke coming from the family room area. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, performed search and rescue and retrieved a dog

  • ACCIDENT: 26700 block of 262nd Avenue SE. Emergency personnel were dispatched to a single vehicle roll-over accident at 12:30 a.m. The injured male driver was trapped inside. The patient was extricated, treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

  • HOUSE FIRE: 21400 block of SE 287th Street. Maple Valley firefighter along with Mountain View Fire and Rescue and Kent Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a home fire at about 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters found flames and smoke coming from the family room area. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, performed search and rescue and retrieved a dog. The dog was transported to local veterinary clinic for treatment. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $66,000. The cause of the fire was faulty electrical wiring.
