Winter is alive and well at Stevens and early-season snow and consistent storms have created excellent conditions for the season thus far. As the winter season pushes ahead, the resort’s event season is just taking off. To turn up the resort atmosphere, Stevens Pass Mountain Resort is excited to announce several signature events taking place throughout the remainder of the season. Mountain events have something for everyone and will be sure to get guests smiling on the slopes.

Below are the signature resort events. For the full 2015-16 winter event schedule and additional information visit stevenspass.com.

Jim Jack’s Cowboy Up – February 6-7

Part of the IFSA North American Regional Junior Series, Jim Jack’s Cowboy Up Freeride Challenge gives young guns, ages 12-18, the chance to have the “experts only”  terrain of Cowboy Ridge all to themselves. Ripping through pow, between trees and off cliffs, this two-day competition includes qualifiers on Saturday and finals on Sunday, and showcases the next generation of talented skiers.

NW Flannel Cup – March 19

This annual event features an air and style course smack in the middle of the base area where participants can show off their skills on both jumps and rails. With $8k in cash prizes up for grabs for pros and prizes galore for the ams, DJ spinning tunes in the plaza, a beer garden and more, you won’t want to miss this event!

Easter – March 27

To celebrate Easter Sunday, three golden eggs and tons of silver eggs will be hidden around the mountain for all the young guns to search for. Find a golden egg and win a 2016-17 winter season pass! Silver eggs will be stuffed with all sorts of goodies, from hot chocolate coupons to lift tickets. Clues to the golden eggs’ location can be found at lifts throughout the day. This event is for ages 12 and under. Additional holiday events to come.

Retro Fools Day – April 2

Retro Fools Day is all about bringing back that radical attitude for one epic day and pays homage to the old gear that was once in style. There’s a slalom race for skiers and riders to showcase their Euro carve skills and participants earn time deductions based on the “retroness” of the gear. After the race, guests can head over to the old-school stunt ditch to watch participants attempt to go big.

Minor Threat – April 9

This snowboard-only contest in the Top Phlight Terrain Park is for riders age 14 and under. A private course and kids as young as   six years old make this an event to watch as a new breed of young shredders blast onto the scene. These kids will go BIG, so come out and watch!

Springfest – April 17

One last blowout for the winter season. Springfest offers live music and activities for everyone, including crowd favorites; Pond Skimming – a hand dug pond in which skiers and riders attempt to cross in their gear, Dummy Downhill – guests build a dummy and send it down the mountain ending in a jump of destruction, and Chuck-a-Duck – where guests toss a rubber duck at a target in the pond to win a season pass. All proceeds from the event benefit Outdoors for All, which is a foundation dedicated to transforming lives through outdoor recreation.
