NO INSURANCE: 32600 Third Avenue

A vehicle was observed with a cracked brake light at 12:48 p.m. It was discovered the female drive had no insurance and her license was expired. She was issued a ticket no valid operators’ license and for no insurance. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was released at her residence.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA:32600 Third Ave

A vehicle was stopped for a cracked windshield and a broken brake light at 11:03 a.m. The female driver stated she just purchased the vehicle and had plans to replace the windshield, but didn’t know about the brake light. She was asked if she had anything illegal in her vehicle and she stated “there shouldn’t be”. When asked again, she admitted to having a marijuana and a meth pipe in her purse. The driver was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.

BURGLARY:30741 Third Avenue

Police were dispatched to a commercial burglary 3 p.m. Upon arrival the property manager advised that she noticed that the business computer tower was missing from a storage room. There were no signs for forced entry, no physical evidence in the storage unit and the manager could not be sure if the door had been secured.

IN THE DITCH: 30800 Third Avenue

An officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident at 8 a.m. A witness reported vehicle had exited the road and driven into the ditch. Upon arrival the officer noticed that the 35 mile an hour speed sign was snapped off at ground level. The officer located tire tracks running through the ditch, but located no vehicle. Meanwhile, the witness followed the driver to insure he was OK. The driver thought he had possibly fallen asleep at the wheel, but decided that he would continue on to work. The company that owns the vehicle was contacted. It was discovered the driver was an employee and the medication he was taking caused fatigue.
