The Covington City Council is accepting applications to fill vacancies on the Economic Development Council.

Current members with terms expiring must submit an application for reappointment.

Terms begin Aug. 1 and members serve two-years. Applications are due by July 7. Applicants will be briefly interviewed by the City Council.

The Economic Development Council acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and the Covington Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The city and the chamber appoint five members each plus two ex-officio members, one each from the city and the chamber.

Application forms are available at Covington City Hall or may be downloaded from the “Forms and Downloads” section (“Commissions” category) of the city’s Web site at www.ci.covington.wa.us. Applications may be mailed to Covington City Hall, 16720 SE 271st Street, Suite 100 or e-mailed to dmhoon@ci.covington.wa.us.
