Come out and support Lake Wilderness Arboretum May 8 and 9 at the 44th annual spring plant sale.

This traditional Mother’s Day weekend event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It features a variety of native and specialty plants, garden accessories and crafts for sale – many from first-time vendors – plus free parking. The event also coincides with National Public Gardens Day May 8.

Learn more about what to purchase with help from Arboretum staff and master gardener volunteers. Docents are giving free tours of the Arboretum gardens throughout the day.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, two local authors who have featured Lake Wilderness Arboretum in their recently published books will be on hand. Angie Narus, author of Walking Washington’s Gardens, and Donald Olson, author of The Pacific Northwest Garden Tour, will give insight into the wonderful world of public gardens and why they featured Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Books will also be available for purchase.

Vendors interested in exhibiting at the plant sale have until April 27 to submit an application.
