Use caution when traveling eastbound on state Route 516 in Covington.

A three car accident is blocking an eastbound lane near the highway 18 on ramp toward Maple Valley.

Traffic heading east has slowed while King County Sheriff’s and Covington Police access the situation.

Editor’s note: This accident was seen by reporter Sarah Brenden on her way into the office. The lane blocking on SR 516 was around noon on Friday, Aug. 21. We do not have any more information at this time and do not know when it will be cleared.
