COVINGTON

June 19

  • NOT FOR RENT: 26100 block of 172 Avenue Southeast. Someone listed the reporting party’s home for rent on a website.
  • NOT A MATCH: 18800 block of Southeast 263rd Street. A man was harassed by numerous text messages sent by a person he met online.

June 18

  • BAD DRIVER: 16400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A motorist was driving with a suspended license and also had a warrant for his arrest out of Kent.

June 17

  • BAD BUSINESS: 17600 block of Southeast Wax Road. A man agreed to lease an espresso stand then stole equipment from it.
  • STOLEN: 17100 block of Southeast 264th Street. One roommate suspects another stole $960 in cash from their shared residence.

June 16

  • THEFT: 19600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A flute that belonged to a student at Cedar Heights Middle School was stolen from a locker in the band room.
  • THE CABLE GUY: 26100 block of 195th Place Southeast. The victim discovered money missing after a cable company employee set up service at the victim’s home.

June 12

  • BURGLARY: 26200 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. Someone broke a window at Crosspointe Church, reached inside the building and stole a camera.

June 11

  • SHOPLIFTERS: 17000 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman was caught attempting to shoplift two small make up items from Safeway while another pair of thieves were caught at the same time. Police suspect the other two shoplifters were working together to steal from the grocery store.

 

MAPLE VALLEY

June 17

  • RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: 22000 block of Southeast Wax Road. A parent was arrested after leaving a 1-year-old and a 6-year-old alone in an unsecured vehicle for half an hour in front of an insurance agency.

June 14

  • FREE GAS: 22500 block of Southeast 275th Place. Gas was siphoned from several carts parked inside a locked and fenced area at Elk Run Golf Course.
  • SCAM: 23200 block of state Route 169. A scam artist based in Las Vegas called a business and attempted to extort money from a business in an alleged attempt to collect money for services that were never going to be provided. The victim requested the case be documented.
  • TOOL TIME: 23900 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. After attempting to steal a drill from Johnson’s Home and Garden, the suspect dropped the tool when confronted.
