Valley Cities Enumclaw welcomes 2025 with wellness-focused programs and services

New programs support physical, mental and emotional wellness for Enumclaw clients this January

Earlier this month, Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care clients in Enumclaw participated in ‘Welcome Back Week,’ a special series of events and activities designed to promote a healthier, happier start to 2025.

“From Jan. 8 to Jan. 10, we hosted several events for our local clients—both new and returning—to support their physical and mental wellness goals for 2025,” says Ashley D. Lesley, MHP, LMFT, Enumclaw’s new clinic manager. “At Valley Cities, we wholeheartedly believe in a ‘whole health’ approach to recovery. Physical, mental and emotional health are all interconnected and January is the perfect time to begin caring for the body as a whole.”

The Enumclaw clinic debuted several new group services during ‘Welcome Back Week,’ including mindfulness groups on Fridays, ‘Therapeutic Thursday’ sessions focused on developing coping skills and a weekly line dancing group.

“Part of our goal at Valley Cities is to help clients connect with every aspect of themselves—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual,” Lesley says. “Our group programs are a great way for clients to meet new people, develop skills and stay motivated in their wellness journeys.”

Lesley, who started with Valley Cities in 2020 as a clinic supervisor, joined the Enumclaw team as clinic manager in November 2024. While excited about new programs and services, she’s particularly focused on expanding youth services, including bringing back the clinic’s popular summer programs for 2025.

Youth and family services

The Enumclaw team offers a variety of youth and family services, including in-school programs to reduce barriers to care. Lesley said expanding these services to more schools in the community is a top priority for her team.

Youth services at Valley Cities support children ages 5 and up, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as trauma. Offerings include individual and family therapy, group sessions for children, youth and parents as well as peer support for caregivers and guardians.
