A packed house at the Tahoma High gym celebrated the 2010 homecoming court Oct. 26. Zachary Lystedt was the homecoming king and Mande McKinney homecoming queen.

Zachary Lystedt was the homecoming king and Mande McKinney homecoming queen.

Lystedt suffered a brain concussion playing football in October 2006 when he was 13. He reentered and after playing the rest of the game collapsed on the field. He is disable from a brain injury sustained during the game.

In May 2009 Gov. Chris Gregoire signed the Lysdtedt law requiring all student athletes to be taken out of games if they sustain a head injury.

The other members of the court were Lindsey Habenicht, princess, Eli Wittman, prince, Luke Milburn, duke, Hannah Fiskum, duchess, John Larson, prince, Kathryn Adamson, princess, Michael Cox, prince, Samantha Granlund, princess and court jester, Josh Tavener.
