A presentation on Sept. 13 with historian JD Wyneken looks at the 70th anniversary of the Nazi V-2 rocket, a flying bomb that made the first flights to the fringes of space.

As a weapon, the V-2 killed thousands of civilians in England during World War II, then helped start the U.S. and Soviet peacetime spaceflight programs.
