MultiCare walks the health walk

MultiCare Health System, whose clinics and hospitals in King and Pierce counties include a clinic in Covington, has received national recognition from American Heart Association as an employer that has a culture of physical activity and health.

The Tacoma-based organization provides nutrition, exercise and weight-loss challenges to employees, with prizes for incentive. Since the program began, more than 800 employees have participated, according to MultiCare.
