MultiCare clinic to open soon

MultiCare Health System will open a clinic in Maple Valley March 30.

The new clinic will be located at 23846 S.E. Kent-Kangley Road, Suite E-11. The phone numbers are (425) 413-1310 and (253) 372-7680.

The staff offers a full range of family-practice services. Medical staff includes three long-standing MultiCare providers:

• Dr. David A. Cline is a family practice physician. He is a graduate of Tulane University and Rush Medical College and completed his residency at Duke University Medical School.

• Dr. Craig DeSelms is a board-certified family practice physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a graduate of Willamette University and the University of Oregon Medical School. DeSelms completed his residency at David Grant Medical Center in California.

• Constance Hood is a board-certified family practice physician assistant with an interest in emergency medicine. She is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and the University of Oklahoma.

“Maple Valley is one of the fastest growing communities in Washington state,” said Karen Graham, Director of Operations for MultiCare Medical Associates. “Between 2004 and 2006, the area saw 25.8 percent growth, which says to us that Maple Valley needed more local medical services.”

The clinic’s hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

MultiCare also has clinics in Kent, Covington, Auburn and locations throughout Pierce County.

The new clinic houses the same services that have been available at the East Hill MultiCare Clinic for 20 years. That location closed March 26.

MultiCare Health System is one of the few health systems in the nation to offer a comprehensive electronic health record system. This system links all of a patient’s records throughout MultiCare’s hospitals and clinics, so it is available wherever a patient needs care.

Patients at the Maple Valley clinic can also make appointments, request prescription refills and view lab and imaging results online through MyMultiCare, a secure, web-based Internet connection.
