The Matsiko Children’s Choir from Uganda, East Africa will be performing 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Peace Lutheran Church, 18615 S.E. 272nd St., Covington, located on Kent Kangley Road near the Home Depot.

This performance is open to the public. The choir consists of 25 children who are touring the United States to bring a message of hope and also to raise awareness for children like them from around the world in desperate circumstances. Matsiko is a choir of

International Children’s Network, an organization that finds sponsors for children in many parts of the world to help them with school costs, food, and clothing. ICN sponsors children and young adults from preschool age all the way through university.
