Eldercare seminar planned for April 25

The Eldercare School is a resource for people who want to learn about being a care provider. The school is designed for those actively caring for or planning ahead to care for aging parents or loved ones.

This a one day event scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 25, in the Valley Medical Center Conference Center. The cost is $40. It is sponsored by Renton Technical College. It’s a one-stop resource to learn all about eldercare. The keynote speaker will be Liz Taylor of Aging Deliberately.

There’s so much to learn and prepare for when helping an aging loved one and finding the right services related to the stewardship of fiscal resources, housing implications now and in the future, healthcare issues including memory loss, independence and healthcare directives, legal essentials like durable powers of attorney and living wills.
