Promising to provide something for everyone, the show will include fourteen quilting vendors from throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

The “Bed Turning” features quilts from the guild’s “friendship” groups. Demonstrations include various quilting techniques. Grandma’s Attic Bazaar will have an assortment of quilts, handmade items, quilting paraphernalia, books and the Tea Room will offer a variety of refreshments. Other features include fat-quarters basket raffles, raffle quilt of 2009, raffle quilt of 2010, door prizes and a fun “passport hop”.

This year’s show project is the Maple Valley Food Bank. Guild members made colorful food bags for shoppers. Proceeds from the show provide fabric and quilt items for Covington Quilters Guild’s “outreach” projects.

Since 2005 guild members, from Covington, Maple Valley, Kent, Federal Way, Issaquah and Burien have donated 900 plus handmade quilts to Mary Bridge Children’s Oncology Department, Candle Lighters of Western Washington, Valley Medical intensive care unit for Newborns, Pediatric Interim Care of Kent, Ryther Child Center, Covington MultiCare Oncology Department and Vine Maple Place.
