Under whelmed by light rail

This weekend light rail opened for business, all 13.9 miles of it, all 2.3 billion dollars worth. Big whoop.

This weekend light rail opened for business, all 13.9 miles of it, all 2.3 billion dollars worth.

Big whoop.

So, if I drive halfway to my destination in Seattle, I can board it as long as I can find a place to park.

If I am willing to drive out of my way to Tukwila for a place to park, I can ride it to work and back.

Is it any wonder that Covington is developing in isolation from almost everywhere else, since almost everywhere else is largely (inconveniently) inaccessible from Covington.

The people who live convenient to the light rail, must be thrilled.

I’m under whelmed.
