The Jerry Woods Holiday Fire Engine Food Drive collects more than 5,000 pounds of food | Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety

The Jerry Woods Holiday Fire Engine Food Drive collected 5,351 pounds of food and $3348.28 in cash donations from citizens and local businesses over the last three weekends, improving over last year’s collection of approximately 2,000 pounds and $1500 respectively.

Maple Valley Girl Scout Troop 42887 helped the Jerry Woods Holiday Fire Engine Food Drive this season.

The Jerry Woods Holiday Fire Engine Food Drive collected 5,351 pounds of food and $3348.28 in cash donations from citizens and local businesses over the last three weekends, improving over last year’s collection of approximately 2,000 pounds and $1500 respectively.

We visited over 30 neighborhoods in the greater Maple Valley are. A special thank you to Fran Woods for donating 100 reflective safety vests for our volunteer scouts to wear. It was great to see the glowing kids running around collecting food with Santa and Sparky.
