Fans braved the first rainy day in the Puget Sound region in 35 days to see their favorite drivers in the pits and on the track at the National Hot Rod Association’s 26th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways Friday.

While they got plenty of time to wander around in the pits and the midway, fans didn’t get to see any racing action as the wet weather washed out Friday’s qualifying rounds at the drag strip just five minutes west of downtown Covington.

Pacific Raceways tweeted Friday night that fans should hold onto their tickets because they would be honored for qualifying action today.
