Burn ban still in effect
King County Fire Marshal’s Office still has a burn ban for the county. Because of this, there is still no burning allowed even if you have a burn permit. For more information please visit http://www.kingcounty.gov/property/FireMarshal/BurnBanInfo.aspx.
Fire Commissioner Vacancy
Commissioner Fredrick Heistuman, who has been a Commissioner for the District since 2004, submitted his resignation to the District at the regular Board of Fire Commissioners meeting Sept. 10. The resignation became effective immediately. Commissioner Heistuman thanked the members of the department and stated that he enjoyed his time with the District but will be moving out of the District therefore resigning his position.
The Board of Fire Commissioners, Fire Chief and members of the Department wish to thank Mr. Heistuman for his service to the District and those the District protects. Commissioner Heistuman has been an instrumental leader and highly respected by all members of the Department.
District #44 is accepting resumes for appointment to fill Fire Commissioner, Position #5. Applicants must be a registered voter and live within district boundaries. Application period closes, 5 p.m., Oct. 15, 2013.
