Beginning Monday, the youth ministries of Maple Valley Presbyterian Church will be selling boxes of red and golden delicious apples as a fund-raiser to support its activities.

These apples, freshly picked and straight from Wenatchee, will be available for purchase at the church office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until the end of October or while supplies last. Ten-pound boxes cost $8, 20-pound $12.

Alison Markley, a youth assistant at the church, said the apple sale is an annual event and “one of our largest fund-raisers.”
