Kentwood Track and Field Youth Summer Camp to run July 9-13

The Kentwood Track and Field Youth Summer Camps will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 9-13 at the Kentwood High School track. Students in the first through ninth grade are invited.

The Kentwood Track and Field Youth Summer Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 9-13 at the Kentwood High School track.

Students in the first through ninth grade are invited.

To register, students must complete an application, a $50 camp fee, and turn it in no later than July 3 to Mia Roberts c/o Kentwood Track and XC Booster Club at PO Box 6188 Kent, WA 98064 (make checks payable to the Kentwood Track and Cross Country Booster Club).

Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt, daily instruction from Kentwood Track coaches and athletes, snacks, chances to win prizes and their own camp counselor.

The camp will be run by Kentwood Head Track and Field Coach Steve Roche, Assistant Track and Field Coach James Goodlow, Head Cross Country Coach Ken Paul and Assistant Track and Field Coach Rob Thomas.

The schedule runs as follow:

Monday: Sprints and hurdles

Tuesday: Long jump, triple jump and high jump

Wednesday: Shotput, discus and softball throw

Thursday: Relays, pole vault and distance

Friday: Track meet (parents are encouraged to watch)
