The Tahoma lacrosse team scored with 32 seconds left to defeat Bainbridge in the state quarterfinals matchup on May 22.
Hudson Taylor scored the goal and the Bears moved to within one win of an appearance in the state title game. The Spartans were winning 6-4 in the fourth, before the Bears responded with three straight goals, to take a 7-6 lead. Bainbridge answered just 10 seconds later, but Taylor eventually responded with the winner.
Nate Gowdey led Tahoma with three goals. In the state semifinals, Tahoma (14-5-0) takes on Issaquah (18-3-0), Wednesday, May 28 in a 7 p.m. start at Tahoma High School in Covington. The winner advances to the Washington Lacrosse Boys State Championship Game, Saturday, May 31 at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.
