The Tahoma girls soccer team blanked Rogers Tuesday night, 2-0, in the first round of district games. Seniors Cara Scammon and Taylor Clarin scored the two goals.

This moves the team into the second round of district play where they will face Thomas Jefferson at Curtis High School Nov. 6 at 8 p.m.

The winner of that game will not only play Curtis at Sparks Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8, but will also earn a berth in the state tournament.

Back in October, Tahoma faced Thomas Jefferson but lost, 0-1. The last time Tahoma made it to the state tournament was last season, but they also lost in the first round against Central Valley.

However, in the 2012 season, Tahoma beat out Camas to place 3rd at the state tournament.
