A pickup driven by a woman crashed into a Circle K store at 1 p.m. today in the 17600 block of SE 272 Street.
Captain Kyle Ohashi from the Kent Fire Department wrote in a release no one was injured when the truck crashed into the store.
Ohashi noted the woman “apparently pushed on the gas pedal instead of the brake as she pulled into a parking spot.”
The Kent firefighters used specialized bracing material to stabilize the front of the store. It is unknown how many people were in the store at the time of the collision.
According to Covington police, because this took place on private property, the driver will not be cited for the crash.
The Circle K remains open for those purchasing fuel with a credit or debit card. No one is allowed into the store at this time.
