Kentwood will host its 15th Annual Tradeshow Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the main gymnasium.

Dozens of companies internationally and locally recognized will be represented at this fun, free, action-packed event. The marketing class chose a celebration theme “The Kentwood Experience.”

Fun, up-beat music will be played and the gym will be decorated with streamers and balloons to give off a lively vibe, similar to that of a party or get together with friends and family.

“Once people walk in to the trade show, they will be able to feel the energy and enthusiasm,” says Kentwood senior and marketing student Sarah Otey, “Participating in the trade show two years ago was a great experience. Everyone feeds off of each other’s attitudes which creates a really positive and fun atmosphere to be in.”

The businesses represented at the Kentwood trade show range from prestigious companies such as Alaska Airlines, Coca Cola, LA Fitness, and Subway to local companies throughout King County such as Seattle Humane Society, Bee’s Florist, and Lind’s Meats.Students in the marketing class at Kentwood contacted businesses of their choice and persuaded them to participate in the trade show.

Nearly 90 companies will be present and it is predicted between 1,500 to 2,000 people will show up based on past attendance.

The trade show is free for all companies participating and for all attendees, so the trade show provides companies with free advertisement, promotes positive community interaction and is a great evening of entertainment and intrigue for all who attend.
