Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance amending King County stormwater and surface water management requirements To comply with state requirements for stormwater management and improve protection of water Quality, aquatic resources, public health, safety and welfare (Ordinance 2016-0012).

  • Metro/Sound Transit Preparation for March 2016 Service Changes (Briefing No. 2016-B0008).
  • Update on ORCA Replacement Project (Briefing No. 2016-B0009).

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

–Councilmembers will proclaim January 2016 as Human Trafficking Awareness Month in King County.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • An ordinance relating to the composition and duties of the communities of opportunity interim governance group with respect to the communities of opportunity portion of the Best Starts for Kids levy proceeds (Substitute Ordinance 2015-0521.2).
  • An ordinance authorizing an emergency jail housing agreement between King County and Snohomish County (Ordinance 2016-0006).

  • An ordinance adopting updates to the Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011‑2021 and King County Metro Service Guidelines (Ordinance 2016-0005).

  • A motion relating to the King County Metro Transit Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011‑2021 and King County Metro Transit Service Guidelines and accepting the King County Metro Transit 2015 Service Guidelines Report (Motion 2015-0473).
