Kuzaro takes lead over Saas in Black Diamond City Council race

Jim Kuzaro has taken a slim lead in the Black Diamond City Council Position No. 4 race. The updated numbers at the King County Election Web site Friday show Kuzaro with 331 votes and 42 percent and William Saas at 315 and 40 percent.

Jim Kuzaro has taken a slim lead in the Black Diamond City Council Position No. 4 race.

The updated numbers at the King County Election Web site Friday show Kuzaro with 331 votes and 42 percent and William Saas at 315 and 40 percent.

“I was surprised and pleased,” Kuzaro said. “I’m real happy to be doing well and I appreciate the support from the community.”

Saas was ahead Wednesday with 41 percent and 176 votes. Kuazaro had 38 percent with 163.

Paula Koch-Boyd has 132 votes and about 17 percent. She had 80 votes and 19 percent Wednesday.

The County election site updates the numbers at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
