Drivers traveling on westbound State Route 18 through Covington should prepare for possible daytime delays Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30.

Contractor crews working for the Federal Highway Administration will close one lane of westbound SR 18 before Southeast 256th Street from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days to inspect the Jenkins Creek Bridge. FHWA is conducting a nationwide evaluation of long-term bridge performance.
