The smell of fresh, sizzling sausage drifted over Covington Community Park while friends gathered to play yard games and sample fresh cider on Saturday, Aug. 17. Hundreds gathered for the annual Sausage and Cider Fest, hosted by the City of Covington.

Local cider vendors pushed their samples onto the crowd from sweet pear ciders to spicy habanero experimental cider. There was also local cheese from Maple Valley to try, a DJ, karaoke and more. The Sausage and Cider Fest is one of many events the city hosts to get residents outside and hanging out together during the summer months.
