Kentwood girls soccer advanced to state tournament

The Kentwood girls soccer team advanced to the 4A state tournament as the No. 7 seed.

The Conks beat the Tahoma Bears 1-0 Nov. 3 during the West Central/Southwest District tournament.

The win advanced Kentwood to face Union Nov. 5 and the Conks lost 2-0.

The first game of the state tournament was Tuesday and the Conks lost to West Valley from Yakima 1-0 bringing its season to an end.
