Next Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council meeting Feb. 3

The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, at the Maple Valley Fire Station located at the southeast corner of intersection of SE 231st Street and state Route 169.
The featured speaker will be King County Assessor, Lloyd Hara, who will discuss 2014 tax assessments, market trends, and tax relief programs.
Members of the public are invited to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an open comment period at the start of each meeting.
The Area Council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It advocates issues of local importance to King County, our local government. King County and state officials often are invited to address the Area Council and local residents.
