King County unemployment rate down from same time last year in Maple Valley

According to the Employment Security Department, King County’s unemployment rate in January was 7.4 percent, down from 8.9 percent a year earlier.
The lowest county unemployment rate in Washington was Whitman at 5.8 percent.
Washington’s unemployment rate was 8.3 percent, the same as the national average.
