NOTES: Elizka Kubinova from the Czech Republic broke into the win category on her fifth American mount as Get Going ($55) posted a huge upset in the sixth race. It was the sixth Emerald Downs mount for the 22-year-old apprentice jockey, whose previous best finish was a second aboard Solex Sisters on Sept. 3…Saturday’s late $0.50 Pick 4 paid $8,421 to one winning ticket…There were no winning tickets in the $0.50 Pick 5, creating a carryover of $2,027 to Sunday…Trainer Martin Pimentel saddled back-to-back long shot winners as Montelano ($18.60) remained unbeaten with a gate-to-wire victory in race two, and Sugar Blossom ($19.80) rallied to score in the third. The long-time assistant for the late Craig Roberts, Pimentel had struggled a tad this season with a 2-for-55 mark before Saturday…After saddling five winners at the Del Mar meeting, Vann Belvoir was back at Emerald Downs on Saturday and sent out Carina Run for a $32.60 upset in the fourth race. At Emerald Downs, Vann is tied for fifth place with 29 wins…Saturday’s opener, the 17th Quarter Horse race of the meet, was taken by Boise shipper Juan Full Corona ($8.80) in :18.46 seconds for 350 yards…Summers Peace, upset winner of the Washington State Legislators Stakes, led all the way under Kevin Krigger for a $19.20 surprise in a $33,000 allowance race on the turf at Golden Gate Fields… Live racing continues Sunday with a 10-race program at 2 p.m.
