Loyal Companions 4-H Club hosts its ninth annual Dogs Walking 4 Dogs event on May 4 in Renton

Published 6:37 pm Friday, April 29, 2011

Join Loyal Companions 4-H Club for their ninth annual Dogs Walking 4 Dogs fundraising event to benefit King County Search Dogs Saturday, May 7.

The walk will be held at Riverview Park on the Cedar River Trail, 2901 Maple Valley Highway, Renton.

The money raised helps train the search dogs and handlers. King County Search Dogs, including their volunteer handlers, will be there for you to meet and give demonstrations for everyone to enjoy, unless there is a rescue in progress.

This is a fun event with an easy walk on the beautiful Cedar River Trail. King County 4-H members, King County search dogs teams and the supportive public all bring their dogs along for the fun walk.

Loyal Companions 4-H Club collects a participation fee from walkers as well as donations and pledges for miles walked.

Check in will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. and the walk is 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

You can register at the event and walk as many three mile loops as you like.  This year 4-H members are challenging participants to bring at least $50 in pledge money, which will be collected upon check in.

For more information about Dogs Walking 4 Dogs and a pledge sheet contact Loyal Companions 4-H Club at mukwamama@hotmail.com.
