Players and cheerleaders from Kentwood High waved signs, leapt and accepted donations on the sidewalk on Southeast 272nd Street on Monday as they raised money for Seattle Children’s Hospital in parntership with Jersey Mike’s in Covington.

Early estimates had the fundraiser, which offered $1 sub sandwiches with proceeds going to the hospital, bringing in close to $2,000.

More events are planned in the coming months by the Kentwood Football Booster Club.
