Man arrested after yelling profanities at city staff and police officers | Black Diamond Police Blotter

  • MARIJUANA: 34000 block of 3rd Avenue. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and the officer noticed an odor of burnt marijuana when talking to the 25-year-old male driver. When asked if he had any marijuana in the vehicle, the driver, along with the 22 year old male passenger, released their marijuana and drug paraphernalia to the officer. The driver was cited for speeding, no vehicle insurance and possession of marijuana. The passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle for expired tabs in the 29200 block of 216th Avenue. An odor of burnt marijuana was detected when the officer approached the 22-year-old male driver. The driver admitted having marijuana in the vehicle and handed the officer a pill bottle with marijuana in it. K9 was applied to the vehicle and an additional bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found. The driver was cited for driving while license suspended third degree, no vehicle insurance, expired tabs and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded.
  • A distraught individual came to the police department and began to yell profanities at city staff and made inappropriate gestures. As he left, he continued making inappropriate gestures and disturbed a city meeting by shaking doors and yelling. The subject then left the building. Later on he began to yell at officers from several blocks away. The officers contacted him and when advised he was under arrest he ran into a residence to evade arrest. He was taken into custody moments later without incident and booked into jail.
