Two lanes of state Route 18 opened, one remains closed following Jan. 14 mudslide

The state Department of Transportation opened two westbound lanes of state Route 18 at 3:20 a.m. today, Tuesday, but the truck climbing lane remains closed.
The highway was closed following two mudslides Jan. 14.
According to Patty Michaud from WSDOT, the truck lane will remain closed “until a permanent fix is completed. That will take a few months.”
