Cub Scouts to pick up Christmas trees in Jenkins Creek area

Scouts from Covington Cub Scout Pack 517 will be picking up Christmas trees for recycle in the Jenkins Creek area near Cedar Valley Elementary School up to 11 a.m. Saturday.

The scouts are asking for a donation for the service. All proceeds will be used to support the Cub Scout pack.

A release from the pack stated residents should identify the tree for pickup by placing an envelope around the base of tree with a donation.

Trees that have been flocked or have tinsel on them cannot be recycled and will not be picked up by the scouts.
