The pilot of a small hand-made aircraft deployed a parachute to safely bring the plane down in the Black Diamond area at 7:45 p.m. Monday according to information from Mountain View Fire and Rescue.
First reports indicate a bolt came loose while the plane was in flight from Enumclaw.
The pilot used the parachute to bring the aircraft down in a resident’s yard.
According to Mountain View spokesman Tim Perciful, there were no reports of injury to the pilot. Perciful also noted the parachute saved the plane from damage.
