Two-time Washington champion Absolutely Cool earned his 17th stakes placement when he finished second in the $35,000 Caballos Del Sol Handicap at Turf Paradise on Nov. 15.

The 7-year-old gelding by Absolute Harmony-Coup de Foudre, by Basket Weave, who was bred and is raced by Karl Krieg and is trained by Valorie Lund, had won the 2012 renewal of the stakes and finished third in the six-furlong sprint last year. Ridden by Rocco Bowen, Absolutely Cool improved his record to 7-9-8 from 30 starts and has earned $223,348.
