Registration is currently open for the city of Maple Valley Parks & Recreation Youth Coed T-Ball League. Space is limited. Participants are encouraged to register before the deadline of March 5th. The player fee is $56 and includes at team T-shirt and hat.

Registration forms can be found online at www.maplevalleywa.gov or at the Parks & Recreation Department. Online and phone registrations is not available for this program. Register at the Parks & Recreation office, located in Lake Wilderness Lodge. The registration deadline is March 4 and late registrations will be accepted for an additional $10 fee, if space permits.

The T-ball league is open to boys and girls ages 3-6 and two age divisions are available, 3-4 year olds and 5-6 year olds. Children must turn 3 by May 1 and cannot turn 7 until after the season ends June 4. Practices are held once a week between 5-7 p.m. and are scheduled by the volunteer coaches at Lake Wilderness Park. Games are played Saturdays from April 16 through June 4.

• Coaches needed

The T-ball league program runs on adult volunteer coaches. No baseball or coaching experience is necessary. An informational coach’s meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 at the Lake Wilderness Lodge where everything will be explained. Coaches are provided with step-by-step directions so even first-time coaches are assured of success. The city performs a Washington State background check on all volunteers prior to first practice.
