Synergy Volleyball clubs continue to have success in tournaments as the U16 squad took second place in a recent tournament while the U12 Purple won its latest tournament.

Synergy Volleyball clubs continue to have success in tournaments as the U16 squad took second place in a recent tournament while the U12 Purple won its latest tournament.

Coming in as the eighth seed in The Edge Tournament in Tacoma on Feb. 26, the U16 team finished third in its morning pool, then stepped it up in single elimination to beat Lynwood Spike It then Sumnber VBC to earn a spot in the Gold Championship against Puyallup VBC.

Synergy coaches said this was some of the best play they’ve seen from the U16 team all season.

The team members are Annika Burdulis, Taylor LaFranchi, Morgan Olson, Hailey Lyons, Danielle Agoh, Makena Delappe, Linda Jensen, Amber Parks, Maggie Stuefloten, Jordan Kelly, Anna May and Kylie Eager.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 27, the U12 Purple won the Sports for Youth Volleyball Tournament at Highline Comunity College.

U12 Purple won its morning pool then beat Lake Tapps in two games in the quarterfinal match to earn a spot against Northwest Juniors-Eclipse in the semifinal. Synergy won that match in two games as well against a tough competitor then took on Ferndale VBC in the championship match.

Synergy lost the first game of the championship match but roared back to win the final two games to win the Gold championship.
