• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Volleyball.

• Accomplishment: Genger, the South Puget Sound League North Division’s MVP a year ago, pounded out 15 kills in a three-game sweep of Kentridge — 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 — on Oct. 8. Genger’s performance led the Conquerors to their 48th straight league win.

• Favorite class: Leadership.

• Favorite movie: She’s the Man.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Teammate) Stephanie Shumaker and I would serve chicken strips because that is her favorite food.

• Also noted: Genger also is one of Kentwood’s top basketball players, helped her summer volleyball team take fifth at nationals.

MACKENZIE CLES

Tahoma

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Volleyball.

• Accomplishment: Cles, a setter, delivered 26 assists and added a match-high six aces in a three-game sweep of Federal Way — 25-22, 25-13, 25-22 — Oct. 8. It was Tahoma’s first SPSL North win of the season.

• Favorite class: Digital Graphic Arts.

• Favorite movie: Elf.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Probably my great grandparents. I would serve them Papa Murphy’s pizza with extra olives.

• Also noted: Cles sports a 3.5 grade-point average and is a member of National Honor Society.

C.J. MUNKO

Tahoma

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Golf.

• Accomplishment: Munko delivered one of the best rounds of golf in the last several years on Oct. 10 at Lake Wilderness, carding a 6-under-par 28 and earning his team 24 points in a 97-67 win over Auburn. Munko, who qualified for state last season, collected one eagle, five birdies one bogey and two pars.

• Favorite class: History.

• Favorite movie: Ironman.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Tiger Woods and order pizza.

• Also noted: Munko, who also is an avid snowboarder, sports a 3.89 grade-point average and hopes to play golf in college.

RUI LI

Kentwood

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Golf.

• Accomplishment: Li continued her unbeaten run on the golf course on Oct. 9, carding a 1-under-par 35 and earning medalist honors for the 10th straight time. Li’s performance also helped the Kentwood girls (10-0) win the SPSL North title.

• Favorite class: AP Calculus with Mr. Angelidis and APLaC (AP Language and Composition) with Mr. Weeks.

• Favorite movie: Finding Nemo and The Dark Knight.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite all of my family (who live in China) to sit down at a huge table for dinner. We would have Chinese food at a big fancy restaurant.

• Also noted: Li sports a 3.98 grade-point average, is an ASB junior class officer, loves to watch the television show “Friends” and loves to read “almost anything.”

SAVANNAH JOHNSON

Tahoma

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Soccer.

• Accomplishment: Johnson continued to be one of the SPSL North’s top players, collecting a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Kentridge on Oct. 9.

• Favorite class: Leadership.

• Favorite movie: Peter Pan because it is our Homecoming theme.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: My Tahoma soccer girls and we would eat spaghetti, brownies and sour patch kids.

• Also noted: Johnson is also part of the Tahoma ASB, leadership, Fashion Club, National Honor Society and Interact Club.
