The T-Birds will face the Kelowna Rockets at the ShoWare Center on Tuesday, February 14, at 7:05pm.

Portland (37-15-2-1) scored two goals in the first period. Cam Reid scored the first goal at 8:20. Brendan Leipsic made it 2-0 at 16:22.

Seattle (19-34-1-1) got on the board at 2:22 of the second on a goal by Burke Gallimore. Colin Jacobs had the puck at the top of the right circle and passed it to Shea Theodore at the right point. Theodore sent the puck towards the net, and Gallimore tipped the puck just outside the crease past Portland goalie Mac Carruth’s glove.

Portland scored four goals in the second period. Reid scored at 5:10 to make it 3-1. Oliver Gabriel scored Portland’s fourth goal at 5:30. Sven Bartschi made it 5-1 at 12:49, and Ty Rattie made the score 6-1 with a power-play goal at 15:14.

The T-Birds replaced goalie Calvin Pickard with Daniel Cotton after the sixth Portland goal. Pickard saved 25 of 31 Portland shots on goal and his record is now 19-29-1-1.

At 7:04 of the third period, Reid scored to put Portland ahead 7-1.

The T-Birds scored their second goal at 9:40 of the third on a power-play goal by Luke Lockhart. Seth Swenson took the puck around the left circle and sent it across to Brendan Rouse at the top of the right circle. Rouse carried the puck low and then backhanded the puck to Lockhart at the top of the crease. Lockhart put it through Carruth for his 11th goal of the season.

Cotton stopped 16 of 17 shots in just under 25 minutes of action.

Portland finished with a 48-20 advantage in shots on goal.

Carruth saved 18 of 20 shots to improve his record to 34-13-1-0.
