The Tahoma Lacrosse Club held its first annual Summer Sizzle Lacrosse Tournament June 25-27 at Tahoma High School.
There were 22 teams from Washington and Oregon who competed for high school and 7/8 trophies.
Mercer Island defeated Issaquah High School 11 – 8 to win the high school title, while Bellevue High School defeated Hood River High School from Oregon 6-5 in overtime to take third place.
The Tahoma team, led by captains Brody Lundquist, Justin Hanson, and Justin Ross, were eliminated from the final round in an overtime loss to Skyline High School on Saturday.
Mercer Island’s middie Colton Knebel was selected as Tournament MVP.
In the 7/8 tourney, Pacific Cascade Gold from the Sammamish Plateau defeated Pacific Cascade Black for the 7/8 trophy. Tahoma’s 7/8 team placed fifth in tournament play.
