Maple Valley’s Summit Gymnastics T&T team traveled to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the Tumbling and Trampoline Junior Olympic National Championships held July 6-16.

Athletes competing included Jolene Carlson, Deni Cook, Stephan Millard, Makayla Millard, Emma Rochleau, Kristian Smits, Mira Kaufman, Cali Smail, Emily Toycen, Jadawn Cobb and Carsten Smits.

The following Summit Gymnasts placed in the top eight in the nation for their age group/skill level:

Trampoline: Kristian Smits- 8th, Carsten Smits-4th

Double Mini Trampoline: Cali Smail-6th, Jadawn Cobb-3rd

Tumbling: Stephan Millard-7th, Emily Toycen-3rd
