Date Night steals competitive championship 2-1

The second seeded Date Night defeated third seed  Volleyballers    and then top seed and league champs I’ll Be Your Server Tonight en route to winning the competitive division volleyball championship match in three games – 25-18, 22-25, 25-20.

Date Night started strong winning the first game but lost the second game 22-25 creating some concern. Date Night was able to pull together and win the deciding game to take home top honors.

Fun Times dispatches PTL – wins mid-level championship

Fun Times finished their season with a 21 – 3 league record and followed that by easily dispatched of second seeded PTL during the mid-level division volleyball championship match winning 25-12 and 25-15. Fun Times lead from start to finish and were inspired by top contributions from all their ladies and the net skills from Aaron The Skyscraper,  Bubnick and power from  Jumpin’ J. Hjorton.

C&B Awards wins recreational championship, 2-0

C&B Awards faced a familiar opponent, Big Deck Brewery, in the recreational division volleyball championship match.  C&B Awards who finished second in the league took the championship in two games (25-19 and 25-22). Big Deck lead by the all-around play of Ty Peterson, advanced to the championship game by upsetting league champs Maple Valley Surgical Arts in the first round.

The City of Maple Valley Parks and Recreation Department offers volleyball leagues and open gyms in the fall and winter.
