Kentwood freshman Catherina Li was the top local placer during last week’s girls Class 4A state golf tournament at Downriver Golf Course in Spokane.
Li held the lead after the opening day and finished with a two-day total of 149, which proved good enough for a fifth-place finish.
Other top finishers included: Hannah Kim of Kentridge (12th), Tahoma’s Amanda Fairweather (14th), while Kentwood’s Jamie Huo (18th) and Erika Vossbeck (180) rounded out the local female list. Kentwood’s Connor Sims (15th), who competed at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane, was the lone local male to place.
